Bio: Due to a lack of purpose, a shitty family/environment and boredom growing up Isaac enlisted in the military when he was 17 years old. During his time there it was quickly revealed that he had anger management issues and a tendency to resort to unnecessarily violent measures. Six years later he was discharged.

Isaac returned to his hometown, still lacking purpose when he met up with several of his old friends. He discovered that they had ties with the local mob and were living pretty decent lives because of it. It didn’t take long before he decided to take part in organized crime, wondering if maybe that was his true calling.

During his time there he became known as the Fixer; if anyone needed anything done they’d give Isaac a call and he would make it happen by any means necessary. Despite the wide range of jobs, the money and the notoriety he couldn’t help but be unsatisfied with his life. He wanted out.

By then his group of friends had all rose up and occupied the upper echelons of the organization. Isaac wasn’t afraid to ask them to let him go and to his surprise they complied without fighting him. But they wanted him to do them one last favor. A final job, they said. A member of a rival family had been getting in there way and they wanted Isaac to take care of it and then they’d let him go.

Sadly it was a trap. Isaac was intricately connected to a lot of the mobs plots; murders, bribes, cover-ups, racketeering, drugs… anything. They couldn’t simply let him go, and Isaac’s blind faith in his friends made him unable to see the truth that was right in front of him. Too bad the realization didn’t come before they slit his throat.

Post-mortem: When he opened his eyes he was standing in what seemed to be the town square of a late-Medieval town. He was surrounded by people. They were shouting, screaming, angry. All of that anger directed at a woman tied to a wooden stake in the middle of the town square. The woman did not react to their anger, instead she kept staring directly at Isaac, even ignoring the fact that the stake had been set on fire.

It was then that Isaac noticed that his vision was hazy, the people more akin to silhouettes than humans, the sounds they made were inaudible yet he knew exactly what they were screaming. What was going on?

What followed after that realization was silence. The people were gone, along with their rage. It was just Isaac and the burning woman. She spoke; her voice was soft and hoarse, her lungs having burnt up due to the fire. The sight of her burnt up skin, the fires constantly licking her body and the smell of burning flesh terrified Isaac, but her question resonated deeply in his mind. “Do you want to live?”

The Burning Witch, as she was now known, was an innocent woman from the 16th century, convicted for witchcraft. She offered Isaac a Bargain, a second chance at life, a second chance to find his true purpose. Isaac accepted, sad that it took death for him to realize what his calling was but eager to do what had to be done.

It was time for him to punish the wicked, by any means necessary.

Geist: The Burning Witch is a woman in her mid-twenties, tied to a large wooden burning stake. It is impossible for her to be freed of the stake, so whenever she floats somewhere the stake comes along.

She was killed during a 16th century witch hunt in England, but her rage kept her alive in the afterlife. She could not bear going to rest when such injustice was still present in the world and she would do whatever it took to murder whoever she had to in order to get her peace of mind. For that she needed Sin Eaters and for as long as she has been a Geist she has been forming contracts with sensitives to further her own agenda. Punishing injustice.
