Background:

Johnatan Spark was born into a Police family, his mother was of the Highway patrol, and his father was an Internal service agent, his grandparents were cops, his cousins and aunts and uncles were or still are cops.
To protect and to serve was the motto he grew up with, together with toy police cars, toy handcuff and toy guns. Obviously the school choice was decided by his parents, the military college too, the only thing they had no power on was where he was meant to serve. Boston was where he ended up. Together with the bad habit of smoking, which he took up from his roommate, and his "sweetheart" how the guy used to call her, of the moment, a certain Maggie.

Boston was where he began climbing, at the Allston department. He had always been witty, and his face, gruff and stern, blond hair cut down in military style, blue eyes, made him look like the bad guy from Russia in that film Rocky something, even with his uniform on. There was no "good cop bad cop" thing with him, only the bad cop doing his job while the good one went for a donut.

Stereotypes are bad, but his colleague during the first years was actually a slightly obese patrol officer, Macarthy, sort of like the Holmes archenemy, if not with a slightly different name. He had a passion for donuts, and coffee; he was probably one of the reason the police man ended up being stereotyped into the donut eating guy.

Johnatan was offered deals many times, by many students brought in for noise, petty drug dealing or stuff like that, "You don't know who I am" was their favorite motto "I can decide who to put you in the cell with" Was his. This usually made them less snotty, although some still tried to pull it through with their lawyers.
It didn't matter. Laws were laws, and unless stated elsewhere, he was the law. There were days he thought of being the last sheriff in a west like town in the middle of the desert of corruption. However he also was the best one around. You had to crack open the tough shell of a guy? You called Johnatan. You had to make sure the info was right? You called Johnatan. "Sparkly" became his nickname, since he was that, Sparkling clean, and also, because he tended to start every sentence with "Frankly" "Frankly miss, I don't care. Tell me what I want to know" "Frankly? There are cells who can hold up three persons, and now they are holding six. One more would matter?" "Frankly? You really want me to tell you what you did wrong?"

He was 26 when he found his *soulmate* or how it's called in the hippie culture. Or whatever the hippie culture is, if it's something different than cultivating herbal drugs. She was a lawyer for a small legal firm, and they met while chatting to a common friend in the police department, who introduced each other. Jennifer Oakcraft, red hair and green eyes, became Jennifer Spark two years later.
The firstborn was a bright little girl who got the name Megan, and at present is currently only 4 years old.

He started up a savings account for her, since you never know what could happen during service, and he is still smoking, albeit out of the house. Hes hopes are to get the last promotion as Chief of the Police, but he simply doesn't like to lick boots, and merits can only bring you so much far... and to bring all the dirt of Boston to it's rightful place: the jail.
