Bio:
Today, Brian is uncertain of his own sanity, even as he's suddenly exposed to the truth for the first time in his life.

As a student, Brian was fairly average, but did not truly excel in any portion, besides some limited success in sports. What truly kept his attention was the hunting and fishing trips he went on with his father. His mother, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found, the result of a nasty divorce. After graduation, he drifted into the military, expecting an uneventful tour. This was early in 2001. By the end of the next year, Brian found himself back in the states on medical discharge after a improvised bomb devastated his convoy, leaving him with scarring, reduced mobility, and put him into a coma for six months. After somewhat recovering from his wounds at a Veteran's Hospital, he was released, only to learn that his father had died while he was in a coma. Naturally, this exacerbated his PTSD, resulting in him quickly running through his savings attempting to find and hold a job. At first determined that it would 'only be until he got back on his feet', he took to the streets, living off what little he could manage to borrow and, eventually, panhandle for, along with what he could scrape up out of the soup kitchen.

Over the years, he slowly got more integrated into the underground of St. Louis, though he never became a major actor, instead just providing info for the bigger players. As info passed through and around him, he picked up hints and clues of the greater supernatural world, but for a long time willfully ignored the hints. It wasn't until after he was abducted and then dumped back on the streets that he had an encounter that finally convinced him. A few days later, while he was still woozy from... whatever had happened to him, he was attacked by a new vampire in town. Brian only remembers flashes from the encounter, but he does remember the flash of fangs, and the tremendous speeds the vampire moved at. Perhaps even more startling to him, however, was the strength he himself showed fighting back, or the mindless rage that consumed him when the vampire first struck back. He survived, badly injured, and now has to come to terms with both what's happening to him and the world around him.
