ENDOWMENT (Benediction):
*Fortitude of St. George
-Cost: None.
-Action: Instant.
-Dice Pool: Composure + Benediction.
-Roll Results
Dramatic Failure: The hunter’s prayers go unheeded. The spiritual shock of such a blow to her faith causes him to lose one Willpower. If he has no Willpower points left, he suffers a -1 to all dice pools for the rest of the scene.
Failure: The hunter’s prayers fail to balm his soul.
Success: St. George answers the hunter’s prayers, filling him with zeal and inner strength. He gains a dot of Stamina (which increases her Health trait by one, as well). This dot remains for one scene. He can also go a number of days equal to her Benedictions score without eating or sleeping, though he still must supply his body with water. During this time, she suffers no ill effects at the hands of fatigue or deprivation. At the end of this period, he will fall into a deep 12-hour slumber from which he sleeps like the dead and cannot be awakened. A character cannot benefit from the Fortitude of St. George more than once per 24 hours.
The Hands of St. Luke
-Cost: 1 Willpower.
-Action: Extended; each roll represents one minute of prayer and laying-on of hands.
-Dice Pool: Intelligence + Benediction.
-Roll Results
Dramatic Failure: The injured character’s wounds are visited upon the healer in the form of stigmata. The healer suffers one point of lethal damage as blood erupts from his palms, feet, side and brow.
Failure: No progress is made toward healing the injured character.
Success: The injured character’s wounds begin to close through the power of God.
Exceptional Success: In addition to tremendous progress being made, the Benediction downgrades one aggravated
wound to lethal.
Successes rolled on the extended action go toward healing the characters. One success is required to heal a point of bashing damage, while two successes are required to heal a lethal wound. The healer need not declare a target number in advance, but the character may only make a number of rolls equal to his Morality. In order to use this Benediction, the healer must lay at least one hand on the injured party. Skin-to-skin contact is necessary. If physical contact is broken, all accumulated successes are lost and the character must begin again. A character may not use this ritual upon himself.

BACK-STORY
**********
Sean Sullivan emigrated from Ireland to Boston with his dad when he was 12. His father was killed a year later during a police raid on a warehouse he was employed in. He lived with his aunt until he was 15. His life constantly shifted under his feet, so he decided to be the one that moved and ran away to find his way.
He spent most of his adult life in and out of trouble by way of the Irish mob. He was something of a mascot of the Conolleys' when he was first inducted into the crew. He went from gopher, to runner, and then to enforcer. What earned him the greatest respect was 10 years ago, when he did 7 years in prison by choosing not to give evidence against Ben Conolly, his boss and father figure. Ironically enough, the entire experience disillusioned his criminal view on life. Despite a warm greeting and festivities, he felt that he had to tell them that this was not a life he wanted any longer. He then became a carpenter, a job he did with great joy in prison.
After about three years of honest earning, and very much out of the blue, he was asked to accompany the old crew to the docks for a meet up with a new street gang that had been causing trouble. Sullivan tried his best to dissuade everyone from going through with the meeting due to a very strongly feeling that something was not right. The feeling turned out to be true in ways that he would have never thought possible...
Sean Sullivan is a man of both internal and external strength. However, he has always felt somehow forced into his criminal lifestyle. His life is both charmed and cursed by a sort of luck that keeps him from taking the worst that life could give, but prevents him from ever succeeding. His years have given him patience and a relatively longer fuse than he had in his youth. Regardless of the hand he's been dealt, he won’t let fate get the best of him.
